LCC visits Benghazi Mayor

The interim Mayor of Benghazi Municipality Mr. Saqer Bujwari Tuesday Sep 24th 2019 met in his office the management of LCC the meeting included Mr. Ahmed Mustafa BinHalim Chairman of the JLCC Board of Directors and Mr. Robert Solomon Chairman of LCC Board of Directors and the company’s CEO, Mr. Jadelmawla Al-Awami Board Member and Deputy CEO of the company and Mr. Mohammad Al-Amir General Manager of Ghibli Construction Company, the meeting was also attended by Mr. Osama Alkezza Head of the Municipality Projects office. The company preparation since its receipt by late 2017 was explained and clarified, where the company’s management assigned a specialized demining company and presented the steps taken to restart the Equipment (Kiln 2 Ben, and the cement mills in Benghazi factory), in addition to operating a production line in Al-Fataiah factory.

Also the preparation to restart the 2nd production line Al-Fataiah factory after the approval of the electricity company to supply additional power to operate the line.

The company presented a plan to increase the production capacity in the next years by establishing a new production line under the name BEN 4 with a production capacity of 3600 tons per day and develop Hawari factory two lines which will enable the company to double the production capacity. The LCC also illustrated the procedures taken to reactivate in-active employees according to set to operate production lines where 1050 employee have been activated so far in all of the company’s factories and the rest will be re-called according to that plan.

Furthermore, employees conditions was also discussed and the steps taken in collaboration with the Social Security were presented in addition to allocating monthly amounts to assist employees medical cases which includes all employees both active and in-active.

The problems and obstacles facing the company were also discussed and the Mayor pointed out the significance of the LCC in the city’s reconstruction and the importance of concentrating our efforts to increase the amounts produced of Cement especially that the city during this time is in need of big quantity of cement to execute businesses in both public and private sectors, in the end of the meeting the Mayor of Benghazi praised the efforts and insured the municipality’s full collaboration with the company’s management in which benefits the general interest, Mr. Ahmed Bin Halim form his side also thanked the Mayor for his hospitality and support which will have a positive reflection of the company’s different activities.

To witness what has been achieved up-to-date they agreed on a physical tour in the factory to see operations.

Benghazi Mayor visits LCC

Upon yesterday’s meeting invitation the Benghazi Mayor Mr. Saqer Bujowari along with the head of the Municipality projects office Mr. Osama Alkezza visited the factory today Wednesday Sep 25th 2019 to conduct a field tour and to witness business operations.

The Chairman of JLCC Mr. Ahmed Mustafa Bin Halim was in his reception along with the LCC Chairman and Board Members and Mr. CTO and other managers.

A presentation showing the preparations and steps taken by the company and the company future development plan to reach the targeted production capacity, the presentation contained photographs that showed the phases of executed operations, then the field tour begun by viewing the kilns and mills operating also inspecting the damaged sites and the rehabilitations executed so far.

The tour also included visiting the company’s quarry field and witnessing the operations in it, at the end of the visit the Mayor expressed his reassurance of the efforts paid by the company which he praised exhorting his confidence in all the steps and operations taken to provide cement material for both citizens and the municipality’s projects in particular and other cities in general and insuring the municipality’s support of the company to facilitate its operations, at the end of the visit Mr. Ahmed Bin Halim and the LCC Chairman and Board Members thanked the Mayor for allocating the time to visit the factory despite of his busyness and full schedule and wishing him continued success.
